Destin Master Plan Update
Nov 2007 – Jan 2009
Project Description: Project consists of an Airport Master Plan update including an Airport Layout Plan. The Master Plan Update will develop an inventory of the current facilities, present forecasts of growth, assess the need for additional development, and provide a plan, including costs estimates, for additional development or rehabilitation. Recommendations will be made to ensure consistency with FAA Advisory Circulars and guidelines/ procedures.

Destin Airport Stormwater Master Plan Suspended
Project Description: Expansion projects are planned for the Destin-Ft. Walton Beach Airport in the future. Some are currently ongoing. Currently, any new developments are providing stormwater management on a piecemeal basis, thus serving only the specific development. The airport representatives would like to avoid the individual parcel approach, and develop a stormwater plan that accommodates and maximizes future expansion of the airport.

Destin/Ft. Walton Beach Airport Runway 14 & 32 PAPI Installation Systems
Aug 2008 – Dec 2008
Project Description: Replacement of the 4-Box VASI system for Runway 14 and 32 with current driven 4-Box Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) systems for both ends. The system will include 5KV cable in conduit, counterpoise and a constant current regulator in the airfield lighting vault.
Advisories: Upon work commencement, NOTAMS will be filed for runway availability.
Destin/Ft. Walton Airport Limited Site Assessment for Fuel Tank Area
Jun 2008 – Permanent
Project Description: Soil investigation through borings and monitoring well installation and sampling.
